Executive Chef Damian Brockway treated Austin Chaine members to a five course feast in the restaurant’s unique counter-style dining/kitchen combination. Lucky diners interacted and shared the creative process and many new cooking techniques with the innovative chefs. The Sommelier enhanced the taste experience with little known Italian grapes from remote corners of the vine-filled country.
A boisterous evening of dining, wining and song took place at the Sonesta Bee Caves as Chef Patrick Newman paired his delicious menu with fine wines. Confreres joined in the festivities with their own verses of the Mondiale song and started the holiday season off with laughter and good times!
Many thanks to Marshall Jones who provided four wonderful wine pairings at Urban to start the holidays off right with Chaine friends. The tasting was followed by a casual dine around at David Bull’s Second Bar + Kitchen in the Austonian.
The Austin Chaine celebrated the induction of its newest members, Patsy and Charlie Eppright, and the elevations of Dennis Shay to Bailli, Jennifer Jones to Officier and Dan Buchanan to Vice Conseiller Gastronomique. Chef Troy Knapp created a wonderful menu that matched the beautiful setting and celebratory atmosphere.
